Testing the NEW Harbor Freight Hercules 3/4 Impact!
The new @harborfreight Hercules 3/4 Impact showed up! Been eager to test this out and see how it does. I mainly wanted it for doing the lug nuts on some of our big equipment so today we are going to test it out and see how it does! We didn't get to test much but as things come up in the future we will put this thing to work!

What an amazing year. 🤘

What a year it has been. Sometimes, it's easy to feel like you didn't get much accomplished until you look back and see everything you have done. We didn't get to do much traveling this year, but what little we did was an amazing time with great company. Spent more time in the shop, making progress on projects and finishing stuff that has been needed for a long time! This past year has had a lo...

These things are getting to be as rare as hens teeth and bringing some seriously eye popping money and we still see fools "modding" them out and smashing them into the rocks for youtube clicks. Absolute idiocracy.
What happen with this build?
The Pittsburgh tools in my opinion are pretty much junk, but these icon tools are very nice quality, I still prefer snap on ratchets but the sockets imo are more durable than snap on
Matco is icon. Same Taiwan factory. Different name
Ive used regular HF tools, snap on, craftsman and now started getting ICON. i can feel the quality in ICON and I love them. as you said, they feel exactly like snapon.
Like i just dick around in the garage and it's not my livelihood. Icon and other home game brands have been fine. I get snapon have a truck that comes and delivers which saves mechanics some of their time. But all the life time warranty stuff even with kobalt has been just go to the box store and grab a new one off the shelf. I didn't wear or break any of my tools. It's my diesel mechanic buddy that wear out and break stuff. His snapon stuff breaks too. Just the reality of working on stuff that's been work hard or abused.
I’m a diesel mechanic I might buy this that big ass air gun sucks
No. Scrap all pickups.
I have some snap-on and some Craftsman, but 85% of what I use every day is Harbor Fright tools. My opinion is that many techs bought into the idea that a snap-on tech is more professional than others and that is pure hipe.
lol
You gave it the beans with an extra side of ketchup
cool, any chance that the packout locks could be 3D printed rather than slicing up a case
OH MY GOD WHAT IS HE DOING NOW
💪💪
I like skil for power tools cheap and good quality
Not sure how I stumbled across your channel, Im glad I did! Keep it up!
What is the rev limiter sound so soothing?
I'm reporting you for porn. Sweet rig, though!
I need a green top and lockers😢 I was so busy with life when everything went on sale. by the time I realized it was all out of stock😢
A good tool with a lifetime warranty is something you can not beat.
Hows that floor holding up with jb weld want to do same to mine?
I am building my mechanic garage with a budget of 5k, I been debating between Gearwrench and icon, up until your video I was real close I was slightly leaning Gearwrench.. you have changed my mind! I think I’m going to go icon
Poor kid. You don't know whether you're a rapper or a rocker but you hope you're something cool. "Snap On fanboy"? Never saw a bigger Harbor Freight suck up on YT. Took some hits now you're doubling down? What is it about HF that makes even grown men act like children? I wouldn't say Icon's a bad tool but yikes. Such a blatant rip off. Then topping it off with that overly bold Icon logo. Luxury boxes taped shut. Can't call it luxury marketing cause the price isn't there. It's a whole new type of marketing. Sociopath marketing. The proud Icon logo: I'm a sociopath and I'm proud of it. Just another part of the general degeneration of your generation. But I'm trying *_not_* to be over your head low information non voter. Now wave that flag, rev that engine, spin those tires, and have another beer. While your country has been defeated right under your silly noses.
woow !!! thats cool that's so easy for toyota..what lockers you use sir
Oh my gosh you’re a genius I got new tool boxes 2 - 72 inchers now I know what to do with the 5 drawer mobile! 🎉
Haven’t watched the video yet I think the total is going to be $1,852
That is awesome that they will warranty a ratchet. Lifetime warranties used to only cover manual (simple) tools. I've been looking at the Icon brand recently.
what manufacturer for the tpms sensors please
i just got my hilux 1990 long bed i swap with 1kz rebuild engine and now it's run like a pro
Returning snap on they make you feel like a crimnal and are being investigated
Toyota is smoking crack I think.
As a kubota ag tractor tech . We all use us genetal boxes. I take trips to harbor freight to get all there good stuff. Never had issues. Some snapon ,mac, matco tools as well . Hurcules is what i use daily for ppwer tools. It never gives me any issues. In a prpfessional setting.
Super helpful video. Pulled the whole transmission and clutch and flywheel out in an afternoon with seeing how you did a few things on this.
Update??
I’m not the type to buy every single thing snap on brand or Mac. Not at all. But I will say this. As far and hand tools “ratchets and wrenches” I 100 percent do not think there is a single better ratchet than snap on. The way they feel , look, and perform.. and ifs it’s a tool that I use daily.. I’m goin to go ahead and buy what I want.. because I personally don’t miss 50 dollars a week for tools.. because trust me.. no way would I come right out and give 220 dollars for a snap on ratchet if I had to pay for it right then lol hahah. But I do love a lot of the icon and Maddox brand tools also.. very good quality for the money !
I don't get the ICON hate either. Maybe the tool truck hype pisses people off. I dunno. The stuff's priced like Cmann so I don't expect tool truck quality. My wife thinks I'm getting tool truck quality so the hype isn't such a bad thing. What I do know is as a hobby mechanic, I am getting affordable tools that work well. The fit and finish is excellent and the tools feel good in the hand. Like you say, the ratcheting wrenches are the bee's knees. I really love the clicker torque wrenches. Silky smooth to adjust and operate. The sockets have good fitment and pop off my ratchets effortlessly without having to pry them. I am not a fan of the ratchets. They have taken a back seat to Gearwrench in most cases. Screwdrivers and picks I've yet to try.
Your tool box is full of junk bees knees
I work in the oil field keeping dirty rusty water haulers going. My boss is slowly replacing his icon stuff with snapon because he is tired of breaking shit. The quality is NOT even close to snapon. If you work on cars that are not rusted up your probably fine.
Throw a 3.4 swap my way , I have a Clean 94 Toyota pickup extended cab 4x4 with a bad 3.0 , need it and a 5 speed manual swap .
You have the cleanest tools I ever seen
Would be cool if you could do price updates
I have a bunch of icon tools I like them I think there's good as anyone else's out of Taiwan I still think American made tools are better. And you can get american-made brands that aren't three to four times the price of the icon like the snap-on are. I only buy the icon stuff when I have a 25% off coupon so for that the price you can't be beat otherwise I think some of that stuff's a little pricey for what it is but it's the best you're going to get unless you go on a tool truck or on the internet and find industrial brands like Proto or Williams USA or SK
11 months. After the 3 year. Let's see a 4th with all the new icon stuff and specialty things Also Harbor Freight. Get this man a deep discount on sweet box setup
I honestly feel like it is snap on. They just renamed it to reach the poor folk like us that can’t afford snap on 😂
I see a snapon dealer often. His ratchet looks like it came off the same assembly line as the icon ratchet.
I like Icon tools. Dont care what anybody thinks. I own bunch of tool brands. Got gearwrench, Carlyle, SK, craftsman. I had 3 brand new snap-on 3/8 ratchets. I liked them but sold them because needed money. I dont miss them though. I cant see spending over$100+ for a ratchets then getting them all scratched up and dirty. These Icon and other tool brands will all do the same thing. I saw this today at Harbor frieght. The new General service set. 3/8. Vary nice quality case! And actually has nice handle and tools stay secure inside.
The pliers are 🔥 i have the needle nose and side cutters

Ok so I use snap on at school and the quality is there but a bunch of the stuff is broken (-a fair bit of morons do work with the tools) however that shows snap on breaks too. I buy a fair bit of icon at home and probably will continue to expand my tool cart with a fair bit more icon. I've realized a lot of items function just as well as the snap on counterparts. For power tools tho I always just go with Milwaukee as that seems to be the right pick for automotive stuff. I have never personally broken one of my tools.
Only SnapOn I have is a collapsible parts tray received as a gift, but it is a damn fine tray. They are innovators. Excellent fit and finish. Their tools make some jobs easier in the automotive industry. Everybody benefits from them being successful. You don't need their tools to be a professional mechanic, however. For most local repair shops it probably isn't a good return on investment. Don't hate on them, though.
